Nurturing the parent infant bond through touch
The Center For Touch serves all of East Texas. Uniquely providing education and hands on instruction to parents & caregivers about massage & touch for their children; so that they can massage them safely & effectively to obtain the lifelong family & health benefits. The Evidence Based Research has proven that massaging your child boosts their immune system, helps them sleep deeper and longer (which helps them grow), enhances brain development, aids in digestion and the list goes on. Not to mention the benefits for the premature baby including increased weight gain, sooner discharge from NICU, reduction in readmission rates and aids in correcting long term sensory complications while boosting the parents confidence to care for their baby.
We offer training to parents through individual & group classes & private home sessions. With the ability to partner with agencies, nonprofits, healthcare providers, wellness & fitness centers, churches, early childhood intervention programs, foster care/adoption, child protective service, parenting classes, court ordered parent education programs, parents in recovery, high schools with teen parents, post partum support, military reunification programs etc.; it is difficult to find an area where Touch Training has not had a positive influence.
Here at the Center for Touch Education, we do not "Touch", we "Teach". We leave the "touching" to you; making this a sustainable ongoing service which benefits the child, the family and the community.
